The Wonders of Wool

Are you interested in working with wool, but don't know where to start? In this class, you will begin with skirting a raw fleece and learning about wool during the process. What makes for good quality wool versus bad? What types of wool are good for what? How is fleece scoured? There will be a midday break for lunch--please bring or arrange your own. Then, in the afternoon, you will learn to card and spin washed wool into yarn on a hand spindle. All fleece and tools will be provided for use during class. You will have a small sample skein of yarn to take home, all made by you!
