Star Pattern Quilt Workshop

Giant Star is a modern quilt pattern in the popular star shape that goes  together quickly and easily!  This quilt goes together using large  blocks and half square triangles.   The pattern includes 4 sizes for the  quilter to choose the size that is perfect for them.  Choosing your own  fabrics allows the quilter to suit their unique color combination and  taste.  Each participant should be able to leave the workshop with a  finished quilt top ready to be quilted. We will discuss quilting options  and how to apply binding to finish the quilt. Students will need to bring their own machines and materials--a supply list will be sent out prior to the class in plenty of time.

Shellie has been quilting for around 30 years, becoming interested in  making quilts after many years of garment sewing, cross stitch and other  crafts.  After falling in love with quilting she began working in local  quilt shops and has been teaching quilt classes for the last 8 years in  the Harrisonburg area.  Shellie fell in love with Highland County while  spending time with her Husband and his family on their family farm in  the Bluegrass area, vacationing and spending time there throughout the  year.
