Quilted Bags

Participants will make a series of quilted bags, perfect for using for sewing classes or giving as gifts. We will be using many techniques such as; quilting our fabric, using clear vinyl, putting in zippers and using bias bindings to make bags. Students can show their style by their fabric choices, soft and gentle or bold and bright. The class goal is a total of 3-4 different bags completed during class time.

Shellie has been quilting for around 30 years, becoming interested in  making quilts after many years of garment sewing, cross stitch and other  crafts.  After falling in love with quilting she began working in local  quilt shops and has been teaching quilt classes for the last 8 years in  the Harrisonburg area.  Shellie fell in love with Highland County while  spending time with her Husband and his family on their family farm in  the Bluegrass area, vacationing and…
