About the event
Join Peg Sheridan in beautiful Highland County for two days of plein air painting. You will learn how to choose a composition, create lights and shadows, use color to convey a mood, and paint loosely. She will offer ideas for condensing a complicated scene into simple shapes. Peg will also share tips for painting outdoors, under changing light and sometimes challenging conditions. With over 45 years of watercolor painting experience, 25 years of plein air painting experience and 35 years of teaching experience, she has a wealth of knowledge.
Watercolor painters are all welcome to this event. Basic beginner watercolor skills are needed. A materials list will be provided. It will include the gear you will need to paint outdoors.
Artist Peg Sheridan lives in Staunton, Virginia. She lives in Bath County for 8 years, and taught classes in Monterey. She paints several times a year in Highland County.
