Basic Block Printing - Holiday Cards

This class will provide all the material and instruction needed to make a dozen hand-printed holiday cards (with the option to make more if there is time/material, and the knowledge to make an endless supply). Block printing is an ancient art form that employs a hand-carved block (students will carve their own) with ink rolled out on top to reproduce multiples. This class will harken on many of the old traditional techniques with modern tools and materials. No experience is necessary, though sharp carving tools will be used, so attention to caution IS necessary. Class will break for lunch around noon. Please pack a lunch, or consider our (limited) local options.
