About the event
Are you ready to add to your basketry skills? Judith Saunders has led sold out basketry workshops in Highland for four years and we are pleased to offer a new opportunity with this talented instructor. This workshop will provide information on materials, techniques, and design for the experienced basket maker who wants to increase their skill and knowledge of this wonderful art form. Whether your preference is traditional or unique forms, Judith will lead you through the creation of your own design. During this 5 day immersion in basket making participants will make several baskets or result in one very special piece.
A Norfolk, VA native, Judith retired from the Norfolk Public School System after thirty years as an art educator. She is currently a member of the National Basketry Organization, the Handweavers Guild of America, as well as several regional associations and guilds. She has participated in annual conferences…
